2. What are various models of Decision making? Briefly discuss. Referring to your prior experience, discuss what model has been prevalent in the organization/s you have worked for or familiar with. Briefly describe the organizations you are referring to.

Ans : ….Making is a multi-step process of making choice between alternatives…The approach follows a sequential and formal part of activities…

According to this model, managers select alternative courses of action that are only slightly or incrementally…thus lessening their chances of making a mistake…

The total process is designed to justify, through the guise of scientific rigor…is acting rationally and taking a… on important topics…

In other words, decision makers may propose solutions to problems that do not exist; … solutions that are already available.

Example : … She has to decide to use the ..  making model to determine the best path for a solution…

Spent all weekend evaluating the alternatives to see which would have the least impact on employees to solve her … The final step is to select the best alternative.

4. What are the characteristics of effective work groups and role of a manager in managing group productivity?

These norms can determine how people interact and how they view people of other races…. depending on the group and individual involved..

All groups benefit from one or several sources of inspiration and direction… and encouraging group members to speak their minds during meetings…team members to ensure that everyone is performing to their highest potential…

Meeting with your group members try to understand the subject matter of the task…committee. This will help you to see the problem clearly and solve…

They reduce the ability of the group to attain its objectives. A good manager must not neglect the group building activity…
